Using Arthur as our stud dog has been a great experience. Arthur really is a stunning fox red Labrador he was exactly what we were looking for, eye catching, beautiful colouring, healthy and athletic. Arthur was very well mannered and courteous with our bitch who was a maiden bitch at the time. Emily has been great from the moment we first enquired about using Arthur - she has always been there to answer any queries and always available for support. Emily and Paul have been brilliant since the start. Right from the start to the day we picked our pup up she provided us with all relevant documentation and information and regular photos/video updates of the litter. Took me a while to find a breeder I trusted but that was no problem with Emily and Paul after our visit. As for our girl maple at only 7 months old she is already the most gorgeous, inquisitive and intelligent girl. Id definitely recommend Emily and one of her cottershot pups if you’re looking for a well bred lab. I look forward to hopefully a sibling for maple in a couple years time 🥰

I had followed the Cottershot Working Labs page for about 12-18mths before deciding that I wanted one, I loved the type of dogs they had and knew that at the right time it would be amazing to get one. Once I saw the scan photo from Myler I knew I had to ask Emily if they had all been reserved, luckily she said there may be 1 or 2 not yet spoken for depending on the sex of the litter, even more lucky that it turned into a litter with more bitches than dogs so along came Twix! From the start Emily was organised and kept me up to date with how they were doing and what the next steps were. From putting the deposit down to secure her, to viewing her for the first time and then actually picking her up! The minute she got home she settled straight in and has been a star ever since. I would highly recommend Emily if you are after a working/pet Labrador, she made the whole process very simple and straightforward and i would definitely go back for another if I could!

We can't speak highly enough of Emily and Arthur. Emily reached out to us with lots of advice following our queries on a forum about breeding from our maiden bitch. This advice came free of any pressure to use her dogs or services. Combing Emily's wealth of knowledge with Arthur's experience and good looks make it a no brainer when it came to choosing a stud. Despite some initial hesitation from our bitch, both Arthur and Emily were very patient and made sure the whole mating process ran smoothly. Emily's support during the pregnancy and whelping was invaluable, and her asking for updates in the weeks that followed showed she really cared about Arthur's offspring. We had a litter of 11 gorgeous puppies, many of which carry Arthur's distinct white chest mark. We would highly recommend Cottershot Working Labradors and their services!

I don’t know where to start! Emily and Paul are absolute stars and their Cottershot clan of fox reds are stunning with the best temperament. It was no surprise that we wanted our own to train as both a working gun dog and a family pet.
We were lucky enough to get on the list for one of Myler and Arthur’s puppies and Emily was amazing all the way. She kept us updated every day with photos, videos, health checks - everything! Emily is truly a hard worker, striving for the best care for every pup.
Fast forward to today and we couldn’t be happier with our own Cottershot dog. He has an amazing temperament and is such a quick learner! We are so lucky! Even now, Emily is always available to answer any questions on training, feeding, vaccinations etc.
A huge thank you to Emily and Paul for giving us our new best friend. We already want our second Cottershot puppy so needless to say we would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

We got our puppy in April 2023 from Emily at Cottershot Working Labradors. Right from the start Emily was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the breed as we had many questions as this is our first dog. Emily would take time to send us pictures, videos and updates on the puppies. We were even able to come and visit to meet her, the puppies and mum and dad. When we collected our girl we had a puppy pack with all the information and again Emily was knowledgable and explained everything. We also know that should we have any other questions we can call. We couldn’t be more grateful to Emily for everything she has done, and continues to do for us. From day one Emily gave us all of the information we needed, many messages back and forth, she was always responsive and highly knowledgeable. Our dog Ruby came with food she was fed on, a supplement they recommend, working dog training aids and much more. Ruby has matured into an incredible working dog, she is everything you would want in a dog that ticks all of the boxes. Ruby is highly obedient and works like her life depends on it! She flushes and picks up birds that many dogs miss, her nose is incredible! She works in all terrain and picks up blind retrieves from the other side of the river. Ruby lives indoors, with 3 other dogs and 2 young children, a fantastic guard dog, and family pet. We are planning on mating Ruby and Emily is always there to answer any questions or queries I have. Ruby has a clear eye test and fantastic hip/elbow scores. I know that when the time comes, and Ruby produces her own litter, that Emily will always be there at the end of the phone.
